The strike caused bakery owners to hire workers from abroad, among them several Austrian bakers, who brought along new baking traditions and pastry recipes. I’ve been waiting for more than a decade for this movie, and I didn’t believe Marvel could meet my sky-high expectations. With a few caveats, I’m so, so happy to be proven wrong. Endgame was basically everything I ever wanted in a grand, epic conclusion to the saga the studio has been building for so long. It was immensely gratifying, as a Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) fan, to sit there as everything played out on the screen. Every five minutes, there would be a moment or a scene where I would go, “oh wow, they brought them back!” or “hey, I remember that!”

this style is frustrating to an old like me, because i read it as a trope that comes out of board/net culture around the 00s. it's not a new style of social or political philosophy, it's more like an expansion that thrives in these communication channels. i got triggered about it listening to some other middlebrow podcast shit lately- they were talking about incel-board-utterly-malignant-horseshit, and also what i can only term other "disorder board culture" and it did just infuriate the fuck out of me. i don't know whether this style (not this post in particular) is a desperate coping mech, or postured self-aggrandizement, or just entitled lameness. don't get caught up in this please. we're all we got.
