think nothing I nominated or uploaded to youtube as it wasn't there has placed, and all of it was better than any hardcore punk OR limp-dick indie, and do you see me complaining? oh, yes, guess you do

(in denmark danish pastries are called wienerbrød = vienna bread)

mark s, Saturday, 13 April 2019 20:33 (five years ago) link

The origin of the Danish pastry is often ascribed to a strike amongst bakery workers in Denmark in 1850. The strike caused bakery owners to hire workers from abroad, among them several Austrian bakers, who brought along new baking traditions and pastry recipes. The Austrian pastry of Plundergebäck soon became popular in Denmark and after the labour disputes ended, Danish bakers adopted the Austrian recipes, adjusting them to their own liking and traditions by increasing the amount of egg and fat for example. This development resulted in what is now known as the Danish pastry.

More Danish ppl being bad.

I’ve been waiting for more than a decade for this movie, and I didn’t believe Marvel could meet my sky-high expectations. With a few caveats, I’m so, so happy to be proven wrong. Endgame was basically everything I ever wanted in a grand, epic conclusion to the saga the studio has been building for so long. It was immensely gratifying, as a Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) fan, to sit there as everything played out on the screen. Every five minutes, there would be a moment or a scene where I would go, “oh wow, they brought them back!” or “hey, I remember that!”

this style is frustrating to an old like me, because i read it as a trope that comes out of board/net culture around the 00s. it's not a new style of social or political philosophy, it's more like an expansion that thrives in these communication channels. i got triggered about it listening to some other middlebrow podcast shit lately- they were talking about incel-board-utterly-malignant-horseshit, and also what i can only term other "disorder board culture" and it did just infuriate the fuck out of me. i don't know whether this style (not this post in particular) is a desperate coping mech, or postured self-aggrandizement, or just entitled lameness. don't get caught up in this please. we're all we got.

i feel like wearing a shirt or something saying "yeah _nothing is changing, and it may not, and it's discouraging as fuck, i feel that, but the world isn't made for me or for you, stfu htfu and stop. fucking. bleating. the world will change when it changes, or we're lucky enough to change it right."
