Practice Room Amps: Why are they so bad and hated?

played a les Paul through this peavey 15” bass amp for awhile , great thick tones , 2 channels

when i bought my house and had enough space to start goofing off with electric guitars again i bought a VHT special 6. flexible wattage and power modes so i don't scare the cats. i very rarely think about it which is the hallmark of a good guitar amp imo.

I recently bought a used Vox Pathfinder 15R which absolutely smokes. I've never heard such a good solid state amp (and it has a real spring reverb).

what's a practice room amp, like a tiny low wattage thing? I have a teeny fender pro junior that's the absolute bomb

Pretty sure it's one of the standard issue backline amps of history that's left to molder in a dank rental practice space.

There's a Pathfinder 4x8" stack on Craigslist here but I can't find the time to drive two hours to where it's located (if it's even available).
