I think she’s worked on a lot of the new Sky Ferreira stuff, interested to see how that turns out. Agree though that this new record didn’t really leave much of an impression, especially when compared to Cranekiss

Like 'Victim Complex' for being only the first single off Propaganda's 1234 that should've been.

It pains me to admit it, but this new album is frankly terrible. Generic and tuneless, this sounds like a 2nd tier pop-goth LP found in a 1987 bargain bin.

Angels of Sweat is a pretty good, but yeah... reminds me of Single Gun Theory or the pre-Curve Toni Halliday solo album (admittedly I didn't dig Cranekiss that much either)

Love Single Gun Theory a ton (as well as the Jacqui Hunt solo/Ciive follow-ups). Their samples and new age/world influences set them apart, I thought. Made for great mixtape fodder back in the day, particularly "Phenomena". Was happy when SGT put out "The Monkey's Mask" soundtrack, even though it didn't lead to further work.

When people talk about albums mired in their era, the SGT discs still sound fresh to me, but that Toni solo disc is locked in 1989 (?). Play it least of the Curve & Dean solo discs.
