Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Show Your Bones poll

Not sure how I got it in my head that this album was disappointing. I think maybe because I’ve never loved Gold Lion, but the rest of it is fairly scorching.

this sounded better than it's blitz to me the last time i listened but it's been a little bit... "turn into" is such a massive song but i think i prefer "dudley" and "way out". the texture of the non-electric guitar instruments on this record is rly great

im voting for "gold lion" tho for having the best mic-ing of a drumset of its time

I'm surprised Greil Marcus didn't expend a thousand words explaining how "Sometimes I think I'm bigger than the sound" links Karen O to the lineage of Elvis, Dylan, Robbie Robertson, etc.

This seems about right? Although I never liked Gold Lion, it always gave me Karate Kid montage vibes.
