You could get the 'Ask Treeship' thread locked down, but we would have to ask you what you felt about it first, and where would we do that if it's locked down? It's impossible, which is why these kinds of threads shouldn't exist in the first place.

this. i'm glad other people are hitting the button. nerdstrom is an objectively awful poster, and not because he keeps being a complete shithead about my house fire. which by the way, he does with nearly word-for-word retreads of gabbneb's last life as "moo vaughn." so if he's not a sock gabbo set up years ago and recently revived, he's someone else trying to imitate aspects of gabbnism which doesn't strike me as a good-faith attempt to participate in anything. the only reason he hasn't been 51'ed is that 51 is too high a number and a lot of his shit is so boring to read that i think a lot of people just skim past it and aren't registering how intentionally trolly it all is.

I dispute the idea that nerdstrom is trolling. I don't care much for his attitude on the politics thread, but that's not trolling. He's not acting like gabbneb, who I feel was harmless as well and shouldn't have been 51'd. treeship otm. this type of shit is ilx at its worst.

The abuse thread just received upthread is unwarranted, I’ve seen treat everyone with nothing but respect and effectively undermines the case many of you are trying to make here.

Also what’s seen as “trolling” is often just ways of phrasing and tenors that are uniformly spread throughout the board if we are being honest, something seeped into the dna of the place.

We are being arbitrary and unwilling to elevate ourselves if we pretend it’s justifiable to isolate blame in the direction of one guy.

There was this one time when I lived in a basement apartment and we had like a half dozen friends over on a summer evening and we were just kinda hovering around the open front door gabbing and enjoying some drinks when suddenly this total rando comes from out of nowhere and just like dives over the railing of our steps and struts in like he owns the place, to the baffled stares of everyone in attendance.
