Is her first EP the Wwwater EP or is it under her own name? Caught the end of Wwwater’s set supporting You g Fathers last year, sounded interesting.

Love this one. Patenipat, Cursed and Cussed and Okashi are my favorites of this one. I think I like the past EP better but I don’t think there’s a song on these 2 eps that I dislike.

Saw the live show a few months ago and it was the best thing I saw all year.

Highlights is my favorite by far. Would've been high up my ballot (top 3 for sure) had I voted this year.

It is my duty to point out to all of you even remotely interested in Charlotte Adigéry that since a couple of weeks she's got her own weekly, two hour radioshow at Belgian StuBru. And my, does it bang! Her track selection is crazy good imo. Best thing is, she collects all the tunes she plays in this spotify playlist, updated weekly after the new show.

Yeah, she's brilliant, and a great companion as a dj. Probably the only linear radio time slot I follow religiously rn, every Sunday eve, she's the best.

Nice interview. Didn't know that Pupul was Kamagurka's son! (a factoid probably lost on people outside of Belgium/The Netherlands)

this really holds up to a second listen, incredibly strong album. the lyrical games it plays are both straightforwardly witty and headspinningly complex; it's rare and great to see this sort of intelligence applied to, essentially, techno bangers. but then again the bangers themselves aren't so simple either; they're playful, tuneful and the production and structures are kept constantly interesting and fresh. wheels are not allowed to spin.

Finally got 'round to this - loved it, and hit replay the minute it stopped. Truly inventive and off-kilter dance music with no shortage of earworm melodies, big beats, and creative flourishes. Love how many different ways they use vocals! A+ sequencing, too.

I finally figured out what this record reminds me of and had to bring it here cause no one outside ilm would get the reference but the Lindstrom & Christabelle vibes are strong

One of the late listens of the year for me.

As I mentioned to the friend who urged me to hear it, it does a very, very savvy and charming way of expressing sentiments that pop music usually is too didactic when it wants to make the same points.

live in Glasgow yesterday it felt like superstardom is in the post. It was in the top 5 wildest audience resctions I've ever seen, so much so that she was rendered speechless a couple of times by how loud the crowd were. Such a great performer (Bolis too).

well-deserved - it was a fantastic show. I was concerned that I would be disappointed after seeing them in a tiny venue last year when they killed it and was wondering if they would manage to bring that energy to a massive festival tent but they really knocked it out of the park. Two of my pals had never heard them before and came away raving about how great it was. stirmonster the whole weekend was brilliant actually :)

also not to objectify anyone in a way but I spotted Bolis in the crowd dancing later on and he really is just an incredibly handsome man, they both just ooze star quality and charisma

The Bolis solo album is ace. Mix of deeper home listening cuts and full on club bangers like this one

Saw Adigery and Pupul live the other night - really excellent. They're great and charismatic performers of course, but what really stood out was how propulsive and thumpy the arrangements were over big speakers in a live setting. The sense of dynamics, especially in the lead-in to what were effectively drops, was really kinetic. The vibe of the way the songs would move in between pop songs and dance tracks reminded me unexpectedly of the last two The Knife albums (not a point of comparison I would have thought of previously).

Yeah, they make the most sense live for sure, not that the recording are bad of course.

Man, really need to catch them at some point. Pretty sure they've played here and I missed it (though that could have been a festival date)

saw them at Desert Daze in 2022, if that's what you're thinking of, was a great set, she was amazing live.
