Everything I’ve ever heard about Ryan Adams has been very very bad, but not as bad as his 29 album

Love to Mandy Moore. I remember feeling bad for her then - she always seemed more level-headed and capable than her teenpop peers at the time but kept making terrible dating choices (Andy Roddick, Zach Braff before Adams). And then they got married and she stopped releasing albums. I just thought she was done with music. :(

I am kind of surprised that the revelation he groomed an underage girl isn't the lead in the NY Times headline.

All the other stuff is horrible, obviously, but that's a criminal matter and surely jail time.

honestly whenever i heard about or saw a photo of ryan adams my first thought was always, "that guy almost certainly smells bad." obviously that was the least of it.

i liked that whiskeytown record when i was in college but i tried listening to it a few years ago and tossed it in the garbage.

of course he could be stravinsky and his behavior would still be horrid as fuck, so i guess my opinion of his music is beside the point.
