Stevie Wonder wins everything he's in contention for.

You disagree? You're worthless.

Haha. I was just looking this up on Wikipedia.

If we vote Thriller are we going to regret it after that Michael Jackson documentary airs on HBO this spring?

MarkoP, Monday, 11 February 2019 05:51 (five years ago) link

i don't know where else to post this, but Brandi Carlile's performance was incredible

songs in the key of life followed by thriller

i wish "another star" (and ne-yo on vocals) had gotten more time during the better-than-expected but still odd motown tribute last night

Has the top album in the ILM poll ever won Album of the Year? (Came pretty close this year.)

"i don't know where else to post this, but Brandi Carlile's performance was incredible"

yeah that was great. I love that song, she really can carry it off live.

THe song H.E.R. played is essentially the same chord structure btw, or seemed like it last night. Not accusing anyone of ripping anyone off; it's not the most original format. They both did good things with it.

stevie, not even close

Re: Brandi C (from Variety):

Just as Carlile was launching into her performance at Staples Center, “The Joke” sat at No. 83 on the iTunes digital songs chart. By the time the west coast prime time re-broadcast ended around midnight, it was up to No. 2, where it still sits a day later, trailing only Lady Gaga’s “Shallow.”

0 votes for Dylan, please

Songs in the Key of Life is one of my favorite albums ever so this is pretty easy. Thriller is up there.

Did not even know what Golden Hour was because I think I've only ever encountered the name 'Kacey Musgraves' in an ILX thread title (yes, I am indeed that withdrawn from the world).

I’ve only really encountered Kacey on here, too

yuh yuh (morrisp), Tuesday, 12 February 2019 14:54 (five years ago) link

Stevie Wonder and it's not even close.

Thriller an acceptable alternative.

zama roma ding dong (Eric H.), Tuesday, 12 February 2019 15:02 (five years ago) link

Time Out of Mind gets my vote.

Bob Dylan should do a song-for-song remake of Thriller.

Stevie, but Dylan should get some votes.

Automatic thread bump. This poll is closing tomorrow.
