ciderpress, Monday, 4 February 2019 02:42 (five years ago) link

Bringing that pressure on Goff, he had to fold eventually.

Mario Meatwagon (Moodles), Monday, 4 February 2019 02:43 (five years ago) link

calumy (rip van wanko), Monday, 4 February 2019 02:45 (five years ago) link

Worst super bowl ever

marcos smart (Spottie), Monday, 4 February 2019 03:00 (five years ago) link

Is football going to end now, is it all done

Norm’s Superego (silby), Monday, 4 February 2019 03:00 (five years ago) link

Yes..... for a few months at least

marcos smart (Spottie), Monday, 4 February 2019 03:01 (five years ago) link

Literally any other combination of the super bowl would have been better. Why couldn’t that Rams/Chiefs shootout during the regular season have been this game?

omar little, Monday, 4 February 2019 03:03 (five years ago) link

I enjoyed it! Unbelievably tight game. Rams defense just couldn't hold out to the end as they started to tire

. (Michael B), Monday, 4 February 2019 03:10 (five years ago) link

i knew the pats would prob win i just wanted there to be no touchdowns

oh wel

all hail satan’s team

Squeaky Fromage (VegemiteGrrl), Monday, 4 February 2019 03:10 (five years ago) link

All are punishèd

Norm’s Superego (silby), Monday, 4 February 2019 03:28 (five years ago) link

mookieproof, Monday, 4 February 2019 03:38 (five years ago) link

Brady/Edelman embrace at the end was kinda hot

Mario Meatwagon (Moodles), Monday, 4 February 2019 04:17 (five years ago) link

Brady/Trump embrace at the White House will be hotter

( ͡☉ ͜ʖ ͡☉) (jim in vancouver), Monday, 4 February 2019 04:19 (five years ago) link

nah gisele's going to ban him from going to the WH again

Дарья (daria-g), Monday, 4 February 2019 04:31 (five years ago) link

what a shitty game.

Fuck the NRA (ulysses), Monday, 4 February 2019 04:38 (five years ago) link

tbh i thought it was a pretty interesting game? kind of amazed that the pats defense played that well. was waiting for goff to throw one up for grabs and he finally did at the worst possible time

Second straight playoff game where the o-line got steamrolled by the Pats

fuck the NRA (Neanderthal), Monday, 4 February 2019 05:22 (five years ago) link

yeah. surprising how much has changed in a year after they couldn't get pressure on foles.

also.. what happened to todd gurley??? not playing him much in this game seems as bizarre as benching malcolm butler? he has to be injured?

Дарья (daria-g), Monday, 4 February 2019 05:25 (five years ago) link

watching the pats w a pass rush this year was kinda weird

lag∞n, Monday, 4 February 2019 05:26 (five years ago) link

Gurley just seems like a headcase. Seemed to be sulking the last few weeks

marcos smart (Spottie), Monday, 4 February 2019 05:27 (five years ago) link

realizing boston sports radio will STILL be complaining that the game sucked

Дарья (daria-g), Monday, 4 February 2019 05:41 (five years ago) link

I thought Gurley's knee was iffy.

Mario Meatwagon (Moodles), Monday, 4 February 2019 06:10 (five years ago) link

what happened with gurley was probably just that they ran him 1,000,000 times in the regular season. ppl speculated about an injury but then it was pointed out that he played a great game vs NO pass blocking, throwing himself in front of dudes in a way he wouldn't have if he was actually injured.

6 points given up to kansas city and the rams over 6 quarters of conf champ/super bowl has to be one of the most impressive accomplishments in the belichick era, especially since the line we were being fed was that these guys are the new wave taking over. bill is probably always insufferable but seems like this would be an especially good time to avoid him for a year or two. meanwhile chiefs' 2nd half performance really just shows how good they were, and how much more they actually had going on than the rams.

Roberto Spiralli, Monday, 4 February 2019 12:24 (five years ago) link

tbf the Rams offense looked pretty awful - Goff looked really overmatched. I've seen him like that before but it never lasted the whole game! Kinda neat though how the Pats defense has been this huge wildcard during this entire run; they'll go from like 3rd to 29th in the league during consecutive SB runs

Still, think the big takeaway from this game was "this would've been so much better if the Saints hadn't gotten screwed and/or the Chiefs won the OT coin toss"
