Like both of those! and not heard either before

The only Kenneth Graham record I have is this Dracula record, some are a bit iffy on the narration but it makes it for me!

some notes on the RA mix by DJ Bus Replacement Service led me to the full length version of Shep Pettibon's house mix of.... Debbie Gibson's "Electric Youth"
her blurb states
" If you hear this Shep Pettibone remix in its entirety, you'll come close to discovering what a big bag of money and a kitchen sink sounds like."

I can't uh, recommend it necessarily but this description is very otm

saer, Wednesday, 17 April 2019 16:11 (ten months ago) link

the late great, Wednesday, 17 April 2019 16:36 (ten months ago) link

I'll check out some of the other records, I'm not sure I really know who he was, for some reason I thought he was a tennis player!

Found another track this week that has been nameless and unknown for a good while, Electrospy. Expensive though

from the Signifier album on D4L,

this is the only track on youtube, maybe prefer some of the other tracks but this one is an insidious snake charm escapade. Looks like the only record released!

Groove Chronicles track with Aaliyah sample, didn't know this one before. This is actually the record that was playing in the Edward Hopper painting of some fellows in a bar

love "Stone Cold" - was always reading how it was a classic but I never really *got* it until I heard it in a nightclub and that bass in the second half floored me

Reissue for this Justin Berkovi 12 from 2000

Never knew about this 12! Other than that one track off. the Crouton EP that everyone likes I didn't know he'd done anything else good, but this is stellar gear

saer, Friday, 12 July 2019 03:59 (seven months ago) link

South African house - this gorgeous track is from 2015 (but I only recently discovered it). I know Afro House is a thing in the international dance scene, but I have no idea if this particular kind of stuff gets any traction outside of SA.

Just discovered Ray Castoldi!

According to discogs he is the music director and organist at Madison Square Garden, and has performed during New York Rangers and New York Knicks games since 1989. He also appears on something called Jock Jams, doing "The Chicken Dance"

this is some well dreamy Sunday music, all the tracks (92-94) were reissued in 2017
