Like rogermexico pointed out in his thread, surely you can find a better WR.

He can play like Jerry Rice on Scooby Snacks the rest of the way. Last I checked, receivers only put up fantasy points if the QB can get them the ball, and the line still isn't givving Carr time for downfield strikes. (Though to be fair Jabar Gaffney's been consistent pointswise in Johnson's absence. Not helping so much on the field, but not costing anyone fantasy games.)

I'm benching Donovan vs. Washington and playing Eli vs. th' Niners. Lack of faith or right place right time?

Has Eli shown us anything on the road yet (erm, no. Unless you count the road game against the Saints). That said, if you take TO's word for it McNabb's not getting any healthier, and Denver may have just showed a pretty good, and pretty pissed off defensive unit how to handle him. Though if he plays there is that whole not-running-the-ball thing...

It's a tough call, but I'd go with Manning. He has to grow up sometime, might as well be now. And even if the Niners are healthy on defense now he ought to be able to chuck it to Shockey, rinse and repeat. Plus, y'know, Amani Toomer sightings have been reported.

Oh, and, uh, so Eli Manning @SF vs. D-Mac @WAS is looking pretty good right now. That roaring sound you hear is LJ Smith owners rejoicing over TO's suspension.

In the WR department, I'm thinking Wilford (JAX WR2) is a decent pickup. Burleson (MIN WR1) too. My league has a very shallow bench, so I'm not big on one-week plays, otherwise I'd be taking a good look at Bryant Johnson (ARI WR2).

RBs: EBennett, DStaley, SGado, GJones, JWells.

Advice: If Jones cannot go this weekend, rookie Cedric Benson will get the starting nod for Chicago, while Adrian Peterson should get a few touches as well. On the season, Jones has 753 yards on 167 carries and six touchdowns in eight games. He also has 17 receptions for 66 yards.

Based on my team's current record I will not be giving fantasy advice to anyone.

I'd play Dez, but I'm in the same boat as polyphonic.

kevin walter is a solid fantasy wr. if the texans offense is clicking he will get points. kc defense has been tight this year but houston are at home and they will get a lot of the ball.

I say Dez --http://images.chron.com/blogs/askacat/hatcat.JPGis clearly trying to get him involved in the passing attack and he's been targeted a number of times in every boys game I've seen.

So, PPR league, the score for this week's game is currently 136-99. I'm winning, and I've played all my players. My opponent still has Chris Johnson left to play. What do you guys think? Am I gonna win this one?

i have 3 fantasy teams and am caretaking 1 for a friend on vacation and 3 of those 4 teams have a decent sized lead but are facing chris johnson. i am hoping that dude slips and breaks his leg getting off the bus.

I have a 7 pt lead, TN's return guy and one of Jax's TEs vs. Johnson. Figure I'll be saying "dammit!" by the end of the night.

I know Johnson is probably gonna have a huge day. I just hope he has a small enough day that I keep my lead.

i think you play Smith if he's healthy.

always feel like I get burned not playing a guy who is starting but "banged up" i.e. Gates this week.

the rule is: if you start a guy who is banged-up, he will either not play or barely play. if you bench a guy who is banged-up, he will score 3 TDs.

So this point in the season I'm second place in the league, and I've got some killer players (only lack of depth is at QB). Briefly for those who don't want to click the link, I've got Arian Foster, AP, LeSean McCoy, Mike Williams (Sea), Miles Austin, Mike Wallace (Pit), Steve Smith (Carolina), and Lee Evans. (I also have Anthony Armstrong + Nate Burleson.) I feel like I can dish out Lee Evans and maybe someone like Mike Williams or even Anthony Armstrong for a strong starting option, but I stink at doing trades. I'm soliciting any advice. Another team offered DeAngelo Williams for Lee Evans + Mike Williams, but I'm iffy on DW being a legit starter this year. What do you guys think? Any trades you can recommend me pursuing or should I sit on what I've got? I always feel like I blow it around this time of the year, either by making a stupid trade that I didn't need to do (I dished out Steve Slaton two years ago which ended up costing me the league championship) or missing a great opportunity to unload excess decent guys for a real starter.

I had DW in both of my leagues and I finally just dropped him off in one because he's dead weight. I'd keep Lee Evans, actually, because Ryan Fitzpatrick not only likes to throw, but he's pretty good at it.

DW is still a good back but he and Stewart can't do much until they establish a consistent passing game.

i follow the TV writer shawn ryan (the shield, terriers etc.) who made an open pick 'em for a script-winning contest so i joined that, but yeah would be nice to being going up against ilxors

iirc DJP won the pick 'em last year (which was just me, him and johnny fever i think lol)

i never had enough focus to play two leagues (my rl league of record + ilx league) which wasn't really fair to ilx bc i inevitably dropped out of updating roster midway thru season :(
