The Oink! flexi was reissued as a proper, hard, on-sale-in-shops 7" EP/single sort of thing. I must have a root around and see if I can find my copy

I seem to remember somebody called Horace with a radioactive mutated head, and some existential detective, whose 6-part story ended up with him being turned into sausages by the Butcher -- v. disturbing.

And of course Tom Thug -- although my memory has conflated him with the skinhead from Pete Milligan's Skin

There was a (very affectionate)parody of Dan Dare (called Ham Dare, I think) by somebody called J P Dogg, which ranks with the Morrison/Hughes Dare graphic novel as one of the few successful post-Hampson takes on the character.

ten years pass...

There's a blog about Oink (!) running - it's just reached the final issues: http://the-oink-blog.blogspot.co.uk/

Some great stuff there, if you're in the admittedly niche interest group. I definitely don't remember this Dave Gibbons strip:

And, niche of a niche of a niche, here's the amazing Van Hellsong stories (which I can still remember frame by frame 30 years on): http://we.tl/EJ9m76P1nu

one year passes...

Never thought I'd see a thread on ilx about this comic. I was obsessed with this thing back in the day. My bedroom adhorned every single pin up that they featured in the centre pages.

Will have to spend some time on that blog

I might have bought all the back issues on Ebay for £30.
