Yeah, hosts don't need to be UK based, and US ones are often cheaper. I'm with errrrr dreamhost.

three years pass...

The itsnotred.co.uk version of my website seems to be working fine, but visiting www.itsnotred.co.uk lands at the domain registration holding page, for me at least.

I registered the domain with ukreg/fasthosts, then used www.zoneedit.com to manage it & point both versions of the address towards a friend of a friend's hosting server, but it doesn't seem to be going through for the www. version of the website, despite both www and non-www being pointed in the same way to the host computer's IP.

Any thoughts? It's not mission critical at the moment, as you can see from the website, hence I thought I'd ask in an idle fashion here first...

Thanks.

Thanks. It seems to have sorted itself out here too. I did change DNS servers a few days ago and it must just have taken the change on the www. version longer to propagate through the system. All is good.
