Monterey Pop seems a late entry, such an incredible time capsule; the best-looking document of the earlyish hippy era. It allows me to ‘get’ what Hunter was talking about in that ‘the wave broke... ‘ piece of his. Easy to laugh at the whole hippy thing now God knows, but Pennebaker shows why people got so excited in the first place.
