probably a more recent thread for this but can't find one. Anyway, saw NIN last night for the first time since the Outside tour with Bowie. It was very good. But the most surprising part of it was spending 10 minutes in the middle of the set doing a beatless "I Can't Give Everything Away" segueing into "Subterraneans" (from Low).

How was J&MC?

Will be seeing tonight's show -- given how set lists are varying up I figure I won't be so lucky to get that combo but we'll see.

J&MC were pretty dull TBH. I actually missed the first two songs (unfortunately they opened with Just Like Honey I guess) and when we walked it I didn't even realize it was them, they've gotten a bit wanky. Maybe it's the new sidemen. Head On was good and I Hate Rock and Roll was good; crowd was into it but it wasn't really the J&MC I'd hoped to see. That said I saw them on the US leg of the Rollercoaster tour a hundred years ago with Spiritualized and Curve and they were boring then too.

And oddly enough...I'm wearing my Curve shirt from said Rollercoaster show as I type.
