Debating whether something like “Open the Door, Richard” belongs here but that is more of a comedy routine with some musical moments so I say no for now.

And now he’s playing “Doctor, Lawyer, Indian Chief” as sung by Hoagy himself.

slim gaillard probably has his own thread, but one of the great ones of his is "yep roc heresay", the origin of the name of yep roc records, banned for "obscenity", when in fact he was just reading an armenian menu. that '80s documentary on gaillard is fantastic.

here's some sort of wedding band or something doing a version.

“I’m Hip” is not quite what I am looking for on this thread but I will send a birthday shout out to Bob Dorough anyway.

Apparently it was his birthday last week and Scatman Crothers is playing drums on that video.

I had no idea what to make of "abee gezundt" before I googled it:

abi gezunt

definition: "As long as you're healthy [you can be happy]."
Example Sentences: "I got a $50.00 traffic ticket...abi gezunt.", "Politics, shmolitics, abi gezint."
Languages of Origin: Yiddish
Who Uses This: Jews who are middle-aged and older; Jews with Ashkenazi heritage

https://jel.jewish-languages.org/words/2

clearly I don't spend enough time in the company of 80-year-old Ashkenazi Jews :((
