can't do it by executive order, but it doesn't mean he can't try. not sure how even a corrupt supreme court could overturn the language in the constitution or the 14th (it's not vague), but anything is possible in kavanaugh kountry

It was also perfectly clear in the 1860s what the Fourteenth Amendment would encompass – its opponent voted against it precisely because they thought their whiteness was endangered!

I was trying to think the other day: looking at the situation as objectively and as free of partisan prejudice as possible, has there been any single measurable, quantifiable improvement to the country under the Trump administration? And I don't mean any of the things that would likely have happened/continued in the short term if even a Scottish terrier or a stepladder had won the election (eg the economy). Is there anything? At all?

Like I think it would've been easy for even the most hapless bumblefuck to fall ass backwards into some kind of positive change (assuming the hapless bumblefuck in question didn't also seethe with hatred for the human race).

Russia's influence seems primarily malicious. They are not a big enough power to do much more than just muddy things up. At least not right now. China ... don't know what to think about them.
