I can't say that I'll be terribly brokenhearted if this results in a rash of people reporting MAGA chuds for suspicious behavior.

Like, on the one hand I don't want people to be harassed for their political views, but on the other hand these specific people should maybe be gathered into a giant burlap sack and thrown into the ocean.

on one hand the van is literally covered in trump stickers so eventually most of the right will acknowledge that this guy was inspired by trump. on the other, he is obviously kind of off the deep end, so they'll be able to compartmentalize him and his actions from trump and the republicans.

the undercurrent of all of this is a political argument - "trump's constant attacks on the media and calls for violence are dangerous, and some people are beginning to act on them. this has to stop." that's what the false flag theories are fighting against. in the end it'll be a wash, because no one on the right is going to believe that this guy has anything to do with what they stand for.

I was about to say that, judging by his twitter page, the guy appears to be an illiterate suggestible moron with mental health issues but I realized some people might think I was talking about the President of the United States.

Suspect Cesar Sayoc worked as an exotic dancer and bouncer at several strip clubs, a cousin told NBC News.

The cousin called Sayoc a “loose cannon” and a “lost soul” and said he was estranged from his family.

“He’s been in the strip clubs since he was 22, that was his life,” the relative said. “He was a male dancer and he wanted to be a wrestler. He was taking steroids. He was all buffed up....He was built like a rock.”

Sayoc appears to have been living in his van and showering at the gym, according to NBC. He filed for bankruptcy in 2012 and a property he owned was foreclosed on in 2009.
