Haven't heard it yet but technically emotion contained no actual "hits" so not a huge concern for me

I Really Like You was a decent hit in most of Europe iirc

this is great imo. maybe the verses are a little undercooked but the chorus is huge

Love it. This bodes well for the new album.
The syncopation in the chorus was the hook for me. Also that rim-shot percussion that announces the drop in the chorus.

i think the 'back on my beat' line in the chorus doesn't quite resolve in the sort of satisfying way i'd want it to and that's what i dislike? but it's still pretty good and growing on me

I'm generally not super into her singles but this is p good, if not a million miles removed from the last album sonically

This song sets its sights on being just okay.

It's a nice single, but I'm surprised she's played it so safe. Feel like this would have fit perfectly on Side-B.

as far as first singles go i think this is much better than “i really like you,” it isn’t nearly as weighed down

No, "Cut the Feeling" -- it was huge on Twitter, I guess, haha (and a great song).

I consider it a lead single, that's how it was treated

good song, but a notch under the Emotion singles, imo. i'm hoping they're just getting her back in the public consciousness and the next one is the real banger.
