When life was slow and oh so mellow.

I hated school so so so much that 25+ years later, September is still ruined.

when i was small i was excited to go back to school. later on, rather less so. i can totally see how school would ruin one for fall but at this point i'm just tired of air conditioning and my need for it

just got the second cool front of september, pretty unusual for texas... usually gotta wait for october for a nice north wind. ready for a real cold front to roll across and drop temps down into the 50s at night though.

Just having days that aren't stuck in the 90s/100s has been a big relief. I can actually go outside!

The autumnal equinox denotes the start of 'astronomical autumn', which has no direct reference to weather, only to the relative positions of the earth and sun. aiui, meteorologists prefer to use the first day of September to denote the beginning of 'meteorological autumn'. Similarly, they use Dec. 1st, March 1st, and June 1st for the starts of meteorological winter, spring and summer, respectively.

American summer begins on Memorial Day and ends on Labor Day. Autumn ends on the Sunday after thanksgiving, and winter ends on the first day of the baseball season.
