Hi, my wife is menopausal and is severely depressed and angry and I don't know what to do.
It has probably been over a year now and, not having a great relationship with my deceased father, was never prepared for this.
She is also unemployed now, and that of course is playing a huge role as well in how she is feeling.
I try to be a helpful & good partner but it is very hard to be able to be what she wants--i.e. i can't solve many of her problems, I can only try to help with chores/cleanliness/tell her I love her and that I want to help her. I try not to argue, but what can you do when someone says "I have no friednds"? You can't say "But you DO, look at so and so and so..." because I don't want to start an argument wherein I'm devaluing her perceptions and experiences.
