after a 4-game losing streak, they seem daid

Zack Greinke eephus curve fun:

Greinke's thrown 80 pitches under 70 mph this season -- most in MLB.

Hitters are 0-for-31 with 12 K's
in at-bats decided on those pitches.

Here, sit back and watch him make 12 Major League hitters look silly 🌈 pic.twitter.com/AMVgzBxv74

three years pass...

The restaurant I was in tonight had the Arizona-Boston game on, Andrew Chafin was pitching, and I was just far enough from the TV that I thought I was watching Rod Beck.

(No new Diamondbacks thread, I don't think. I searched "Arizona," "Diamondbacks," "D-backs," and--just to be sure, and as per the new Orioles thread--"Barizona," "Harizona," Parizona," and "Warizona." Nothing newer than this one.)

two months pass...

on july 1, they were 50-34, three games up in the NL west, and had an 80% chance at the playoffs

since then they've gone 7-25 to fall to 57-59, 12.5 out in the west, three out of a wild card, and are 14% to make the 'offs
