This albums fucking great, that's the "fuss". The usual correction for a female artist though eh?

Bought this a couple of days ago, and listened twice maybe? Not had masses of time for music lately but this is great. Feels like it does the Jon Hopkins thing of starting with bangers and then narratively leaving the club and walking home, only she's in a way more interesting club to start off with, and she's nowhere near as boring as him.

idg what ppl who don't like this are looking for in music

flopson, Saturday, 11 August 2018 22:01 (five years ago) link

really disagree w the RA review that the last 2 tracks are weak. 'panegyric' esp so mindbending

flopson, Saturday, 11 August 2018 22:57 (five years ago) link

Love this album, love those dirty acid sounds. Never really listened to Discreet Desires, curious to check it out.

princess of hell (BradNelson), Sunday, 19 August 2018 16:05 (five years ago) link

yeah, i love it so much. all about 'lifestyle guru' right now, that grimy churning acid is so satisfying

dirtbox acid mournful synth - every track's a belter. Aoty.

i should clarify, i have no specific criticism of her productions, just don't think they're as exceptional as her dj skills

the late great, Thursday, 6 August 2020 22:47 (three years ago) link
