Question: Would this be good for hitting rocks recreationally? Could be many swings for long periods - too heavy for that? Hard to find one that won't break.

Answer: I hit rocks at the river with an old trusty used aluminum bat. Pick one up at goodwill like I did for protection and rock hitting.
