Fellaini: c or d?

not a big fan but i do feel for the amount of grief that he has to put up with from, the stick he gets both on the pitch and on social media is incredible. i saw him get sent on ten minutes from time in a pre-season friendly against valencia back in the lvg era - ironic cheers when he was announced, ironic cheers every time he touched the ball, it was really uncomfortable to listen to. and then he goes and scores the winner with about two minutes to go.

does make me laugh that his salary is twice as much as rashford's and lingard's combined

Classic. He is no more than a last-ditch battering ram, but he's very good at that, has a great header and indeed chest control. I've a weak spot for players who are not good at most things, but mastered one or two specific elements of the game.

I wouldn't say he's "prone to violence", though maybe he is. He's really clumsy and doesn't seem too much in control of his own body. That can lead to violence, but I like to believe most of it is unintentional.

Feel like the solution should have been to play Dembele, allowing KDB to play further up the pitch, but what do I know.

YES. Dembele should start instead of Witsel, who's been having an absolute shocker of a tournament so far.

one night I was out with friends and they were showing some soccer game on the TV and of course Fellaini immediately stood out b/c of his hair and goofy name. for whatever reason after a few beers we started doing the Fellaini voice which was just like every character on Mario Kart, "PASS IT TO FELLAINI!!! ITS FELLAINI TIME!!". bummed to find out he wasn't actually Italian. anyway, classic

Saw what you want about Fellaini but if you tell me you didn't immediately know with 100% certainty he was going to score a header the second you saw him getting ready to come on last night, you're lying

We all pointed to our TVs didn't we, and said ah, Fellaini's coming on, he'll have sown panic in the Japanese defence with a headed goal in a matter of minutes, we just did, that's what happened
