saw them many years ago, they ripped hard

I love seeing them live, I almost never listen to them outside that context. The music is good, but the experience of the live show is really the AMT thing.

My pick of the albums I've heard is the first one, but La Novia and In C I think are the big favorites from others. They will play Pink Lady Lemonade and it will sound amazing. Last time I saw them they played this:https://youtu.be/1sd0uuy6X9A

(Studio version is a little more sedate than I remember; rest assured, it was a total face-ripper live)

Got my ticket. Thanks for tip about earplugs, I may do that, I have pretty bad tinnitus these days that isn't going away.

their shows are so awesome, glad to be reminded of it, and imagining them roadtripping around basically the entire world putting them on constantly is an inspiring image.

You saw them? If so did your face get melted off?Every song is ripe for a 15 minute Jam
― Ross, Monday, 23 July 2018 13:33 (five years ago) link
every song felt like an hour-long jam, somehow they got half a dozen of these into 50 minutes or so. a lot of the stuff was built up slowly layer on layer, one song in partic had a really long drummer/bassist riff at the beginning before the rest of the band gradually piled in until it reached peak freak out

About right!

Maybe not the greatest gig of my life but top 5 easily. They seemed to enjoy it too. And it was a mid afternoon festival second stage, decent crows but quiet enough for me to be right up front.

I think amt + baking hot summer day at a festival is a perfect thing but also possibly just a hair’s breath away from oh my god i’m having a brain haemorrhage territory
