Saric would be good with Pops coaching him. He seems to have decent hoops IQ.

i suspect his defensive short comings will grade him out as a spot starter

he can score tho def and throw his weight around on the boards too

at the very least hes an athletic player who can guard multiple positions shoot a little run around jump and so forth, much rather have a guy like that than a offensively skilled but not nearly dominant defensive liability positionally inflexible saric type

i watched the lakers a fair bit last year as research for my lonzo hate and was pretty impressed with kuz fwiw he can do some stuff

there's room for his game to fill out but he looks like a classic good stats/bad team guy. i guess i'd probably take him over saric but he's not moving the needle for me in any trade.

The awards are more for the insiders to acknowledge one another than a big deal for the fans. The awards show is probably just a throw-in on a much bigger TV contract. No one expects it to make much money, but then, it probably costs almost nothing to produce in comparison with most content.

the interesting that happened was all the lakers point guards went down and the tried him at point and he totally shredded, and he played well in the other aspects of the game and hes built like kd except with wide shoulders, i mean i think he cld be a really good all around player, not sure if hes a lights out scorer or not but unless the celtics are offering tatum hes prob the best prospect on the table

one thing ive always knocked about kd are his narrow shoulders, thats v promising thank u

i just want a world where the spurs get 15 great players who are all 6'10" and can shoot 45% from 3 and defend every position and have good court vision and are all 20 years old on rookie contracts that dont start until 2065 is that too much to ask?

stephen a is one of america’s great orators

i think saric could clearly be a real weapon on a playoff team, i just think if the spurs are trading kawhi they have to figure out how much they want to rebuild vs contend. saric/covington/fultz & that heat pick maybe helps them do both if fultz is good... if not then i’m not sure if it accomplishes a ton. the heat have a strong incentive to plan to be not bad in 2021. i think i’d still prefer anything from the lakers.

i think lonnie walker will be really good for the spurs tho. he has potential to be a jaylen brown type player for them.

covington is also a really interesting player to me, really solid defender and can shoot the 3. kind of didn't realize how old he was tho

i soured on him a bit during the 'offs, he's an insanely streaky shooter and if it's not going in he's useless.

convington can be useful and he has that weird contract that actually declines over time but that's what i mean about the spurs getting caught in between... is a team of dejonte murray, patty mills, fultz, parker, manu, danny green, covington, saric, kyle anderson, aldridge and pau getting you out of the first round?

they could probably get by a west low seed with defense and coaching but i think they would *be* a west low seed after 82 games with those guys.

any team that gets kawhi is gonna try and be good and probably will be good so it's hard to imagine the spurs getting some great pick haul for him. so if you're taking back a bunch of players i'd just skew younger and that's why the lakers might be the only team that really makes sense... boston aside since there doesn't seem to be much any indication kawhi wants to play there
