if he and PG13 go to LAL and bring (apparently disgruntled) CP3 somehow, that will (a) not be enough to beat the warriors (b) force them to deal out all their promising youngsters for a couple of glory years and (c) mean kawhi won't fit in their cap space woooooooo

LBJ going to LA would result in maximum messy drama, so I think this looks to be settled. Laker hatred will experience a renaissance.

LeBron in 2003 eating grapes, talking on his flip phone, playing GTA Vice City, listening to 50 Cent, and carrying around his PS2 from city to city. What a picture. pic.twitter.com/yAwg5lkK2u— LeBron to HOU/Philly (@PrimeeLeBron) June 25, 2018

In my dreams Lakers massively overpay for Kawhi under the assumption it will get them LeBron, LeBron joins Spurs and Spurs flip the Laker picks (which will be more valuable without LeBron there) for a couple upgrades.

Breaking: LeBron James will not pick up the option on the final year of his contract with the Cavaliers and will become an unrestricted free agent, a source told @WindhorstESPN, confirming multiple reports. pic.twitter.com/6jcnukcF2S— SportsCenter (@SportsCenter) June 29, 2018

Not surprised by the LeBron decision. The impact is that a sign and trade (see Houston) would likely be off the table because of the hard cap and the pool of teams now shrink to a possible 3.....Cleveland, LA Lakers and Philadelphia.— Bobby Marks (@BobbyMarks42) June 29, 2018

NBA Free Agency Rumors: LeBron James Wants Chris Bosh To Join Him In Cleveland Via Sign-And-Trade
2.New York Knicks: It has been the rumor all year long that the Knicks will land LeBron this off season. With only 3 returning players and about 30 million dollars to work with, the Knicks have the ability to sign two big Free Agent names like LeBron and Joe Johnson, or Bosh, or even Wade etc. But the only problem with him going to the Knicks is that New York doesn't really have the supporting cast to win a championship even after getting two big names in Free Agency. Sure they will be a great Playoff contender right away but with only two big name players they won't be able to stop the Orlando Magic and especially not the powerful Los Angeles Lakers. So the New York Knicks landing LeBron is a little slimmer than everyone may think. Although, if he signs with the Knicks, he will be a VERY rich man. Probably getting a nice 15 Million dollar paycheck along with his endorsement being doubled in NYC.
