I found these a while ago...can't remember where. They were not as thrilling as I'd hoped they'd be.

the pod demos are fantastic! i like 'en a little more than the album, but really, is there anything that Kim Deal does that isn't pure awesomeness???

Didn't know this ended at the weekend. Would probably have voted Lime House if I'd checked in yesterday, as it was in my head all day Saturday. But I'm happy to see Doe at the top.

i wonder how this record would sound with a different production. "last splash" style for example.

it's just that the Steve Albini production that was so refreshing and cool in 1990, now sounds...dated or overused?

i just think this production is so clean, and simple. doesn't seem dated or ... anything, really

it sounds like a mellower Fugazi, or PJ harvey Rid Of Me area - which is no surprising.

I'm moving house and all my "current" LPs are safely stored in boxes, I pulled Pod with a few others out of a less sellotaped box for some nostalgic entertainment tonight and this is a fucking great record. Not heard it for a long, long time. It's interesting how like Slint some of the guitar playing is.

Kim's voice is.. tasty

No votes for Limehouse - wtf - that was always my favourite tune!

lol I've been listening to the Pod Demos lately, and "Limehouse" feels like one of the standout tracks on there
