This was the greatest thread I've seen today.

MY TRUE BELA FLECK STORY:
I worked with a guy at my college radio station who was a HUGE Bela Fleck. The Flecktones were coming to down, and this guy acted like Linus anticipating the Great Pumpkin. He got an interview booked, and for like a week, I had to listen to this music that sounded like a banjo being picked apart on some sheet metal.

The day finally came. Fleck was held hostage by this fanboy for at least an hour on the air. Finally, Fleck said he had to get away and go to the venue where he was performing. Fanboy didn't have a car, but oh, young Pleasant Plains did.

So Bela Fleck and I walked through the residence hall and laundry room to my car, Fleck shaking his head and grinning about the last hour taken from his life. We get in my car and I turn the ignition. Since I had been in the car by myself last, the radio was all cranked up. I quickly turned it off, and Fleck looked at me with sad eyes. "Do you mind if we turn that back on?"

I say that I don't mind and he turns the radio on. AND IT'S THAT DAMNED BANJO BEING PLUCKED ACROSS SHEET METAL MUSIC AGAIN. Poor Bela missed out on hearing his own song on the radio for nearly ten seconds.

So I can definitely see how he'd be a lotharious heartbreaker.

No, I just think Bela's mind is not imaginative, and he couldn't come up with anything else.
He is like a man in a cave, mesolithic man, grunts, hits his chest and calls every beast "animal." And calls every female, "woman."
He is not overly developed in his mind.
He plays a primitive instrument, sometimes he evolves. Most times, Bela is a primitive man, calls Cats "Animal."

He has grunted my way a few times.

I would rather not.
There is something that has happened. Bela is very aware of me.
He knows what I look like in person, as he couldn't keep his eyes off me.
But bela is dullsville. I would rather not get into what has gone with Bela Fleck.
But bela is into thyself, cares nothing about others.
The name "Animal," befits Bela's personality. As even his supposed beloved cat is demeaned to an object, a beast, not something he really cares about. If you care about your cat, you would not name the cat "Animal."

Bela's my aunt's cousin. He premiered this video at Juilliard directed by his brother about the tour he did with Edgar Meyer. I met him before the film (with my aunt) and had no idea who he was. I thought, Baila? that's an interesting name. took me until right about the time the movie started to realize. he seemed like a nice enough guy, but then again i talked to him for 2 minutes. the tour seemed better than i expected.

okay boring story over. i wish i had actually made a complete fool of myself (or him, depending, though that would've been much harder)

Bela might be nice enough, he isn't going to show is bad side to people, especially in a two minute conversation.
But who wants to be with a nice guy who is dull, boring, unexciting and uninteresting.
?
I am not interested in Crispin Glover as a man, but he seems interesting, not a clone thinker. I am not writing a romantic letter to Crispin, but a letter of encouragement.
I am seeking out people like Crispin. He says that he has counter-cultural pursuits. Bela has little in common with me.
He is very independent minded.
I am thinking in the direction of men like him.
Not bela. Bela is too mainstream in his mind. Not interesting enough for me.
Not funny enough for me. I have a sense of humor. I like funny men.
Nicolas is funny.
I look for funny men, men who are not dull and too serious.
Bela and myself would be like chocolate and strawberry. I should knock a different flavor.
But he isn't something similar to me.
Crispin is more similar then Bela is ...

Crispin is not a follower of mainstream thinking.
I don't think Nicolas is very mainstream. and intersting.
How interesting I am not sure.
Bela, seems very uninteresting, maybe nice.
He might be very pleasant. But Bela is a boring man, no real sense of humor and every time I have seen Bela on stage he just has no personality.
He is very bland. But he is a different flavor then myself.
He needs to find a very bland and uninteresting woman, as I pursue intersting people.
Not for sexual reasons, but I am interested in the interesting.

Yes, Nicolas is a real musician.
and a great guitarist.
He is a very multi talented man.
And I have spoken to him, he isn't a total whimp or coward.
He is a humorous man.
He has a great voice.
and a great language. He makes me a bit upset at times, but I am not romantically involved with him, but he someone I feel can understand humor.
BTW, you will never find me, and no private investigator will do the job of having me submit to your will Bela.
I will never submit to you.
I am clearly not crazy, just completely disinterested in you.
Because someone rejects you, you then call them crazy. accept Bela . you are boring. and I have rejected you because you are really not a strong or interesting man.
You have no strength and you are not humorous on stage or in interviews.

See the flectones and Bela are very standard people. They are not irregular.
They don't understant people with humor.
they don't understand people with depth.
They don't understand anything but Bluegrass and standard thinking.
Crispin is a man who understands innovated thinking and is progressive in his thinking. There are other people like Crispin and myself.
Bela Fleck's mind is like that of an ordinary housewife. That is why he married an ordinary housewife.
That is why he is dating ordinary women.
Bluegrass people are very ordinary people.
Bland.Uninteresting.

when Bela has been interviewed, he has the most ordinary personality.
He is very bland and uninteresting in interviews.
He thinks that the music industry is phenomenal.
He is doing rap and hip hop with the bluegrass verison of the beverly hillbillies.
wow.
It was a little funny.
but more sick then anything.
Bela exudes no personality , no feeling and in most of pictures, he is deadpan, expressionless.
I like when he smiles.
but he is very very dull.
I thinkk that Bela has outside interests except bango.
That would make a very boring man.

I talk about Crispin alot because he was funny and entertaining and not many people entertain me in the entertainment industry.
He above just ordinary.
It is refeshing to know there are independent people like Crispin.
I didn't know that he was this way untill Nicolas posted that Cd cover with myself and Crispin in that Willard Cd.
Then I read up on him and found him very unusual for a hollywood star.
Most of media people are such clones and not difffernt.
Bela is not different.
He is a climb the bandwagon type dude.
Not my type.

Crispin is an original thinker. He is an independent minded man. He has progressive ideas.
He has his own publishing company. He is an author.
His acting is superb.
I haven't seen all his movies. but I think he is very superb. And he claims to have countercultural pursuits.
This means that Crispin is Anti American Culture.
He has the nerve to make these claims publically and the nerve to sue Steven speilburg and kick David Letterman.
He is a rebel.
He is wild.
I like his attitude.

I haven't been feeling well for three days.
I think it was food poisoning. some bad shrimp.
But other then that..I have about four songs I am working on.
but not feeling well.
I have to pack tons of stuff and I am not looking foward to packing and cleaning. but I am looking foward to my new house. Gosh is it nice. This house is beautiful.

I compose tons of music and sleep with guitar.
I am under the weather today.
I feel weak.
I haven't been really sick for seven years. I am not very sick. I don't get very sick. I think it was the shimp.
I ate alot of it.
My stomach was really upset and I had a headache.
sorry to disappoint you that it was terminal.
LOL.
I think Bela might be emotionally troubled.
and his people seem unstable and irrational.
It is perhaps the Delusions of Bangeur and the reason he obsessed with an instrument that is so limited.

With limited amounts of money , I made the mistake of moving to Boston in one of the most expensive neighboorhoods. The place is not very nice and not very big. I can't record.
But this time, I finally found a place secluded.
Quiet and large, not to mention very nice and upscale. But not in Boston.
Another city. a very cultural place.
anyway, I feel at peace about this.
moving is very stressful.
My life is stressful.
but now I have a 50 thousand dollar investment in a home studio. not bad for someone like myself.
I haven't been feeling well, since I have to move.
I hate moving. it is enormous work.
and I worry that the piano will be nicked.
I am hiring a pro piano mover. lots of doe.
I don't think about Bela or Crispin , but I do admire people like Crispin who are unafraid to be different then our culture.
