"upgrade" (2018)

this movie ruled. did anyone else go see it?

I’m interested but even if I still went to movie theaters, it wouldn’t be playing anywhere near me. Will definitely check it out when it hits Amazon.

I thought the dude was Tom Hardy. The dude was not Tom Hardy. Any movie that needs Tom Hardy but can’t afford Tom Hardy should definitely get this dude.

he's definitely got a tom hardy-lite vibe. i was pretty impressed with his physical acting throughout the movie, he really sold the concept.

anyways more people should watch this - it's funny, it's exciting, it's a little scary. the sci-fi elements are well done. it's about 90 minutes long. i was maybe expecting more action scenes but the ones that are there are all cool. i had heard it was gory, which isn't my favorite thing, but the gory parts are all quick - there's no lingering on blood and guts. it's a really good b-movie and even though i saw a couple of positive reviews that led me to go see it, it doesn't seem to be getting much attention.

just noticed this is on HBOGo now. worth a watch if you like schlocky, over-the-top action/sci fi/body horror.

also noticed that this doesn't come up if you search for upgrade, i guess because of the quotes

I also thought this was Tom Hardy and the only reason I figured out it wasn't was that people compared it to Venom, which I knew did have Tom Hardy. decent movie
