THere's some story about the people from Relatively Clean rivers taking copies of their lp into record shops and leaving them in the racks as a guerilla act. Not going through any means of distribution or letting the counter staff know anything about it.
So not sure what the hapless punter did on finding a copy. Did they assume it was a for sale item and take it up the counter?

Relatively Clean Rivers was largely written and recorded by Pearlman himself, with small instrumental contributions from friends and former bandmates. In an effort to gain an audience, rumour has it Phil would “reverse shoplift” the album by hiding it among the shelves of record stores.

Even the CD versions of Relatively Clean Rivers are hard to track down. A (comparatively) reasonably priced one can be found on Amazon, but it's apparently an absolutely terrible sounding version from Phoenix Records. Wish it was at least on Spotify.

Yeah, I thought it was as well, but couldn't find it last night. Just some themed playlists named after it.
