that's all I got so far (and only just heard the new steve tibbetts this morning) but tbf autechre album is eight hours long

high hopes for gang gang, but beyond that it may be a p short aoty list for me this year

hailu mergia got mentioned a couple of times on the Outernational thread, plus being on Awesome Tapes he's relatively high profile. plus it's a fun little album that's easy to enjoy but not exactly MINDBLOWING which is good and fine. hope it makes EOY

I saw a lot of people compare Shy Layers to Air France which seems way off - SL is much more digital and synthetic. Definite sunshine Pimms-drinking music though.

I was short one album - the Malkmus one (his best in years)

gotta check it out. another big change in my music listening these days is that I'm now allowed to listen to music at work, while my commute is a lot shorter.
Happy days, yes, but commute-listening allowed for a more focused experience and I had more time to take in an album-length experience. Now my listening tends to be surface-level and full of interruptions, so it's easier for me to put a playlist on shuffle and then I'm less irrationally concerned about missing out.

totally get that dog latin. i used to work in north vancouver which was a 1 hour - 1.5 hour trip each way - 3 hours of transit a day. was consuming music front to back a lot in that capacity
