Okay, so I get that the 1968-1972 stuff is what defines the Stones for a lot of people and there's a lot of undoubtedly great music in that period, but the reality of it is the Stones never stopped experimenting. Their moves into disco/funk/reggae etc. were as far away from 'Jumpin' Jack Flash' as '2000 Light Years From Home' was from 'Come On' ... Sure, not all of their experiments worked, but neither did all of their attempts to fall back on their so-called "signature" sound.
