Howe is one of my top ten favorite guitarists but I have never loved his his tone. Exceptional technique? No argument. But his tone? Kinda weird.

Howe is a pleasure to listen to always, even on songs that of themselves are not pleasurable experiences.

One of my favorite things about Topographic Oceans is his weird-ass solo in "The Anicent", really came to love it over time.
