wow!

i had a conversation this week with a japanese friend who does lots of licensing and he mentioned mule were putting it out. i find it hard to believe they would bootleg it so look forward to finding out what the story is and whether they thought they had licnesed it in good faith.

i looked into reissuing this album too but never got very far.

there are a couple of other tweets on her timeline from today that say this (translated from the japanese): "1st album reissue news, I knew yesterday. I'm very surprised and uncomfortable at the same time phew/phew"

just looked her up on RYM, I had no clue she had so many albums...anyone hear 'em ???

I've heard a couple.

a lot of variety and with some interesting collaborators like otomo yoshihide, sachiko m, dennis gunn (yapoos!)

and though I don't care for much of the rest of the album (maybe too 90s alt rock for me), the title track on himitsu no naifu is one of her best songs IMO:

I only heard of Phew/Aunt Sally because emil.y played a Phew song when she was DJing last year, but since then I've listened to the first album, View from 1987 and the new one from last year, plus the Aunt Sally LP, and they are all good, although the first album is my favourite. Not heard any 90s stuff.
