Bruce was taking some 1B practice tonight. Tough to find time for 5 healthy outfielders who have all been very productive so far.

Michael F Gill, Wednesday, 11 April 2018 03:48 (six years ago) link

10-1, but on the scorpions side, d'Arnaud may need TJ

DACA Flocka Flame (Hadrian VIII), Thursday, 12 April 2018 18:00 (six years ago) link

Mets fans always do til a clinching orgy.

the ignatius rock of ignorance (Dr Morbius), Thursday, 12 April 2018 18:03 (six years ago) link

nido's probably as good/better than any of the random backup catchers they could painlessly acquire

unless you *really* want chris stewart or erik kratz, i mean. (i already know you want recker)

mookieproof, Thursday, 12 April 2018 18:36 (six years ago) link

xp ew

mookieproof, Thursday, 12 April 2018 20:02 (six years ago) link

This is the first time I find myself actively wishing there was a DH in the NL, just so Nimmo could bat more.

Michael F Gill, Friday, 13 April 2018 03:20 (six years ago) link

You know lots more about Nido than i do, mook, but i'm already thinking ahead to a backup to Nido.

the ignatius rock of ignorance (Dr Morbius), Friday, 13 April 2018 03:40 (six years ago) link

mookieproof, Friday, 13 April 2018 17:50 (six years ago) link

8 strikeouts in a row for thor

is the mets record 10? i heard a broadcaster mention that he was "halfway to a seaver" when he hit 5 Ks

Karl Malone, Sunday, 15 April 2018 18:29 (six years ago) link

jeez, that rosario play to end the 5th. the mets are enchanted right now

Karl Malone, Sunday, 15 April 2018 18:47 (six years ago) link

Seaver has the MLB record w/10 straight I believe. Glad to see Nimmo has been freed for a day.

Michael F Gill, Monday, 16 April 2018 04:15 (six years ago) link

I thought somebody tied Seaver, but perhaps not.

That Albers pitch to Wilmer was "right down Broadway," as Keith would say.

THE TODDFATHER

the ignatius rock of ignorance (Dr Morbius), Thursday, 19 April 2018 01:31 (six years ago) link

that comeback was badly needed tonight, as much as one can be on 4/18

the ignatius rock of ignorance (Dr Morbius), Thursday, 19 April 2018 02:08 (six years ago) link

Yeah, felt like that 8th inning comeback helped neutralized the 8th inning collapse from 2 days ago.

Michael F Gill, Thursday, 19 April 2018 14:02 (six years ago) link

Guys Harvey is a starter. He gets ppl out in the 5th and 6th inning.

fuck the NRA (Neanderthal), Saturday, 21 April 2018 14:07 (five years ago) link

maybe he could get MLB to start the games in the 5th

the ignatius rock of ignorance (Dr Morbius), Saturday, 21 April 2018 18:40 (five years ago) link

pretty good game going on here. anyone else watching?

Karl Malone, Wednesday, 25 April 2018 02:54 (five years ago) link

yeah, good game! although lol on Matheny's desperation challenge that Bruce missed first base on his home run.

Michael F Gill, Wednesday, 25 April 2018 03:50 (five years ago) link

Cespedes, 21 games in, is batting under .200, but is still averaging 1 RBI a game.

Michael F Gill, Wednesday, 25 April 2018 03:53 (five years ago) link

the darkest of knights

Matt Harvey laughed audibly when approached by reporters today seeking comment about his bullpen debut. "No chance. Zero chance," he said.

Harvey was asked why. "I have nothing to say to you guys," he said.

He was asked why not. "I dont [expletive] want to," Harvey replied.

Karl Malone, Wednesday, 25 April 2018 21:25 (five years ago) link

i hope he breaks his foot in a nightclub very soon

the ignatius rock of ignorance (Dr Morbius), Thursday, 26 April 2018 02:39 (five years ago) link

can't say i blame him in the slightest

mookieproof, Thursday, 26 April 2018 02:47 (five years ago) link

I get ppl out in 5th inning

fuck the NRA (Neanderthal), Thursday, 26 April 2018 03:36 (five years ago) link

they seem to be playing an unusual number of blowouts (both W and L)

the ignatius rock of ignorance (Dr Morbius), Monday, 30 April 2018 02:19 (five years ago) link

Matt Harvey was partying in LA the night before he had a wobbly time coming out of the bullpen for the Mets in San Diego, sources told Page Six.

Harvey attended the Thursday opening of hot Avra Beverly Hills, where guests included Halle Berry, Cindy Crawford, Ellen Pompeo and Selma Blair.

But a spy told us that Harvey was “out at the Avra opening stumbling around . . . He had to sit down at one point. He must have been so desperate to party, he came up from San Diego.”

Another guest said that among so many stars, “Nobody knew who Matt was,” but, “he was sober.”

Harvey — who’s been relegated to the bullpen — has gotten into hot water in the past for partying when he should’ve been prepping.

omar little, Tuesday, 1 May 2018 05:13 (five years ago) link

Harvey suddenly being a teetotaler but ALSO still partying every night is the kind of shocking twist that would fit into the Mets Canon

Was Alderson upset about Page Six report on Harvey? “Usually I get upset if a report is unexpected. I guess the short answer is no.”

That’s cold.
