Holy shit there's a new Husalah album

yeah and it's better than what i expected.

Yeah, I'm enjoying it a lot more than the e-40 & b-legit on the first listen.

the e-40 & b-legit is boring, sadly.

I'm about 1/2 of the way through it and it sounds good to me, but im good with them just trading bars over sparse beats.

it's sort of like the opposite of impressive to me. i would say it's very... competent

It's impressive in a Fetty Wap s/t "Damn, this really does live up to the singles" kinda way. Competent is way underselling what she pulls off here.

It's not profound or anything, but it's much more personal and well-rounded than it could've been. She does a good job playing off her persona while showing there's a real human under it. Kinda works on a Bruno Mars, pure entertainment level mostly, but her performance really sells "Thru The Phone"
