its pretty interesting that no one knew what to make of steph, he went 7th as a junior, then ended up having arguably the greatest offensive season ever winning multiple mvps and changed how the game is played

25! Game Oveeerrr

they call me melo gelo (Spottie), Friday, 16 March 2018 03:46 (six years ago) link

yeah that was pretty much a blowout. buffalo was 15-30 from 3 and arizona was 2-18.

circles, Friday, 16 March 2018 03:53 (six years ago) link

zona bad at tournaments

Sufjan in Worst Shithole of a Major American City (Sufjan Grafton), Friday, 16 March 2018 03:55 (six years ago) link

buffalo was really clowning the fuck out of them

J0rdan S., Friday, 16 March 2018 04:10 (six years ago) link

yeah that was an awesome undressing. they took ayton out pretty easily with small ball

they call me melo gelo (Spottie), Friday, 16 March 2018 04:16 (six years ago) link

Watching that I was thinking that Ayton must have dropped about 8 draft positions with that game. His fundamentals were dismal. He looked flummoxed on defense and easily kept off the block on offense. Even so, basic economics will make sure he's a one-and-done and that some team will draft him by number 15 for sure.

A is for (Aimless), Friday, 16 March 2018 04:27 (six years ago) link

hes stil gonna go top 3

they call me melo gelo (Spottie), Friday, 16 March 2018 04:30 (six years ago) link

where will the Kings be drafting this time around?

A is for (Aimless), Friday, 16 March 2018 04:33 (six years ago) link

yeah ayton is considered the second best player in the draft

J0rdan S., Friday, 16 March 2018 05:45 (six years ago) link

i'd say that game should be a little concerning in that it highlights how hard it is to win vs a team hitting threes if your best offensive play is to dump down to a guy on the block

J0rdan S., Friday, 16 March 2018 05:47 (six years ago) link

and here i thought arizona was an awfully tough four-seed for virginia

lol pac 12

mookieproof, Friday, 16 March 2018 07:47 (six years ago) link

yeah ayton is considered the second best player in the draft

― J0rdan S., Friday, March 16, 2018 1:45 AM (twelve hours ago)

Grayson's tantrum would have been something

Sufjan in Worst Shithole of a Major American City (Sufjan Grafton), Saturday, 17 March 2018 14:19 (six years ago) link

In our office bracket I was checking out the last place person, a woman on international rotation from Egypt. She has UMBC winning the whole thing.

:-0

The tiebreaker is the final score, she has UMBC winning 18-11.

i love OTT sports columns so much, give me these takes all day

https://sports.yahoo.com/theres-no-escaping-historic-embarrassment-virginia-043006234.html

The 1-16 upset has long been considered one of the final frontiers in sports. The truly impossible upset. And it has been perpetrated by a commuter school from the America East upon the leafy upper-crust Atlantic Coast Conference enclave founded by Thomas Jefferson.

As TJ himself once said, “I have sworn upon the altar of God, eternal hostility against every form of tyranny over the mind of man.” Now here is that hostility being visited upon his own school. Virginia has gagged upon its own privilege.
