Was 'melvin' a legitimate term for wedgie?

Oddly, though I like and liked stuff by a number of these artists, I don't recognize almost any of these tracks. (Only ever saw the first movie too.) Just listened to "The Reaper", which is not bad; I have a soft spot for this sort of thing. P restrained for Vai. Listening to "The Perfect Crime" now, which is p good.

I listened to both Living Colour and Queensrÿche earlier today btw.

I still dip back into those first two Living Colour albums once or twice a year. Haven't listened to Queensryche since high school. I'll have to check in on them and see how everything has played out since all that drama a few years back.

KISS connections: I didn't know until just a few weeks ago that Mark Slaughter was the second lead singer for the Vinnie Vincent invasion.

IMO a lot more interesting than any 92-95 'grunge' soundtracks

Just heard " Since You've Been Gone" by Rainbow, which is A+ AOR schlock. Looked up the details and it was written by Russ Ballard, who not only wrote a lot of Kiss stuff, like "God Gave Rock and Roll to You," as well as other lighter-waivers, but also was a member of Argent, which I didn't know. Also, he wrote "I Know There's Something Going On" for Frida!

God Gave Rock and Roll to You was an Argent song originally iirc

had forgotten about the Faith No More song, which might get my vote now. piano intro kind of borrowed from This Town Ain't Big Enough For Both Of Us, 6 (?) years before they released a version of This Town Ain't... in collaboration with Sparks themselves

I watched the film a bunch of times aged 12-14 and have not dared watch it since even though I watch the first film every now and then for nostalgia value. maybe I should extend the same courtesy to Bogus Journey

it's still good imo! an entertainingly batshit/ambitious extension of the first one, and reeves and winter are super-charming

in conclusion, it is good to peel the sheeps (bizarro gazzara), Thursday, 15 March 2018 12:57 (six years ago) link

its cool how the Megadeth song was used as actual soundtrack music (and not just a song that's playing)

the scene where they take over his father's body at the police station right before he is about to brief a room full of cops is all-time hilarious. "Woah... donuts! Excellent!"

Feel like Perfect Crime is probably the Chuck Mosley-est Mike Patton song.

Oh fucking hell, I didn't even know Chuck died last fall.

Yep. :(

Voted for King's X in the end.

I always enjoyed the appearance of Sir James Martin, head of the Faith No More Spiritual and Theological Center in the movie ... he'd be out of the band only a couple of years after the movie came out.
