watching a ton of those game he was def taking only the absolute best looks early on when he was running hot and then of course teams started paying him more attention and he started taking harder shots is part of the equation, by now hes prob taking 3s of about the quality you wld expect from a ~40% from 3 role player

it is interesting tho with his good shooting he still seems more interested in attacking the closeout than hoisting

agreed, i havent dug into the numbers but it seems like hes been pretty effective at attacking the basket, also when pulling up from midrange, hes got a ton of tools man kid is going to be good

huh, maybe trying to reduce back-to-backs hasn't helped much.

I'm skeptical that reducing back to backs had a negative effect, but it's possible. probably just a random blip...for instance, it seems like an unusual number of stars - who use the most minutes - either got hurt early in the season or started the season injured. also we know teams are being more cautious about playing guys who aren't 100% in general it seems

feel like shit like reducing back to backs is parity at best with increased explosion by amazing athletes. the number of games has to go down.

also the style of play is so demanding these days between increased pace and thibs style overloading the strong side D guys are covering way more ground per game than they used to

tru, the "work rate" in the nba these days must be off the fuckin charts. just constant running, changing direction, stopping on a dime, jumping hella heights multiple times daily.

this is why harden might be a genius, just straight up taking plays off will probably add years to his shitty career

guys of his super elite offensive level are basically the only ones allowed to fuck up on D these days where it used to be common place, the league has gotten so detail oriented, a lot of shit that they used to let slide chucking loafing and so forth really isnt tolerated any more

i think jaylen might just be a baller, a guy who can hit threes without perfect form, but also his form is trending very quickly towards perfect

he looks legit to me. year three gonna be huge to see if he has another jump in him, and with less playing time due to gordo's return.

i'd say i'm skeptical of his three pt shot too but he doesn't need to be great at it to be a good player
