rum dmc (darraghmac), Friday, 16 February 2018 14:39 (six years ago) link

Barca have 187% possession, Willian keeps hitting the woodwork. It's still not all that enjoyable tbh

Le Bateau Ivre, Tuesday, 20 February 2018 20:28 (six years ago) link

Chelsea are playing this well I think

i've got Willian to score anytime though :/

Number None, Tuesday, 20 February 2018 20:33 (six years ago) link

Paulinho is still shit btw

don't care what he's done this season

Number None, Tuesday, 20 February 2018 20:35 (six years ago) link

It's Steven seagal trading places bet stuff and he is utter shit

But he's better than sissoko

Chelsea playing very well there's a real post-montage rocky iii to their spell just before HT there

Yerman in Barca midfield will be off before the hour

Planck Blather (darraghmac), Tuesday, 20 February 2018 20:38 (six years ago) link

Paulinho's played really good this season, fuck the haters. (not tonight tho)

Chelsea are doing pretty well, yeah. Which makes this all the more difficult to watch.

I saw a footy scarf with the words "The Chels" today. Makes me want to burn my eyes.

Le Bateau Ivre, Tuesday, 20 February 2018 21:04 (six years ago) link

Of course

Le Bateau Ivre, Tuesday, 20 February 2018 21:05 (six years ago) link

Had to be him tho, he's had a cracking game.

Le Bateau Ivre, Tuesday, 20 February 2018 21:05 (six years ago) link

Third times a charm

He's got some shot on him

Moses>>>>>>>>Paulinho

Well bissogled trotters (Michael B), Tuesday, 20 February 2018 21:06 (six years ago) link

Beautiful goal

Planck Blather (darraghmac), Tuesday, 20 February 2018 21:06 (six years ago) link

He looks like a cheat player out there tonight

Planck Blather (darraghmac), Tuesday, 20 February 2018 21:07 (six years ago) link

People don't really say "the Chels" do they?

Le Bateau Ivre, Tuesday, 20 February 2018 21:07 (six years ago) link

Number None, Tuesday, 20 February 2018 21:07 (six years ago) link

Get in there!

Video reach stereo bog (Tom D.), Tuesday, 20 February 2018 21:17 (six years ago) link

Fuck yeah

Le Bateau Ivre, Tuesday, 20 February 2018 21:17 (six years ago) link

Nyom

Planck Blather (darraghmac), Tuesday, 20 February 2018 21:19 (six years ago) link

Messi's first goal against Chelsea, which seems hard to believe

khat person (jim in vancouver), Tuesday, 20 February 2018 21:20 (six years ago) link

Yeah that's quite the statique

Le Bateau Ivre, Tuesday, 20 February 2018 21:21 (six years ago) link

That's not a yellow for rudiger but the pull by Suarez on Christiansen should have been a second

Planck Blather (darraghmac), Tuesday, 20 February 2018 21:23 (six years ago) link

Suarez at Barca is like having Vinnie Jones "acting" in Snatch.

Le Bateau Ivre, Tuesday, 20 February 2018 21:25 (six years ago) link

Ah he was grand in snatch tbf

Planck Blather (darraghmac), Tuesday, 20 February 2018 21:25 (six years ago) link

Yeah ok that was harsh on Vincent

Le Bateau Ivre, Tuesday, 20 February 2018 21:28 (six years ago) link

lol lbi

that little hang in time as christensen's pass to no man's land broke the chelsea defense was magnificent

ogmor, Tuesday, 20 February 2018 21:35 (six years ago) link

simultaneous sudden deceleration of pace and acceleration of panic

ogmor, Tuesday, 20 February 2018 21:38 (six years ago) link

Haha, it def was, good call.

Am I the only one enjoying the Giroud-benched-yet-again-the-feels-man-the-feels.jpg gifted to us by his move to "The Chels"? Surely not.

Le Bateau Ivre, Tuesday, 20 February 2018 21:41 (six years ago) link

Chelsea players not sounding too confident in the post-match interview. I think they know they let this tie in general slip

Well bissogled trotters (Michael B), Tuesday, 20 February 2018 21:50 (six years ago) link

Brian Kerr looks reanimated

Planck Blather (darraghmac), Tuesday, 20 February 2018 22:42 (six years ago) link

The Chels played good tonight, I don't think the away goal is going to be much concern as Barc will most certainly score at home anyway so Chelsea are going to need to go there with a goal thirst either way.

In space, pizza sends out for YOU (Ste), Tuesday, 20 February 2018 22:55 (six years ago) link

The Chels suit a classic approach that might seem a bit dated now obviously the tie didn't work with it

Planck Blather (darraghmac), Tuesday, 20 February 2018 23:15 (six years ago) link

luv2see The Chels catching on <3

Le Bateau Ivre, Tuesday, 20 February 2018 23:19 (six years ago) link

Chelsea geezers have said "Chelse" for ages, no? Rhyming with "else"? Maybe they spell it "Chels". "The Chels" seems like new depths in abomination, though.

Tim, Wednesday, 21 February 2018 12:24 (six years ago) link

it's no "The Arse"

The beeb live blog had a photo of a scarf like this last night, Teh Chels vs Barcelona.

Le Bateau Ivre, Wednesday, 21 February 2018 12:36 (six years ago) link

Yeah I saw something similar - I was musing on whether the scarf was
(a) reflecting and responding to an actual Chelsea-fan useage, or
(b) a scarf-making fool being out-of-touch with fans but close enough that they can sell these things at or near the ground, or
(c) a result of the scarf-makers having been threatened by Chelsea lawyers / RBKC trading standards; "The Chels", not being trademarked or copyrighted or whatever so it's the closest thing to "Chelsea" they can get away with?

Needn't be an either/ or I suppose.

Tim, Wednesday, 21 February 2018 15:55 (six years ago) link

(I've no idea whether they have been threatened by trading standards or trademark lawyers, obv, or whether "The Chels" is a registered trademark.)

I am very cross with Chelsea about the Ethan Ampadu business.

Tim, Wednesday, 21 February 2018 15:58 (six years ago) link

Pogba benched. Burn it all down Jose

Number None, Wednesday, 21 February 2018 18:33 (six years ago) link

Looks like a fucking league cup team tbh

Number None, Wednesday, 21 February 2018 18:35 (six years ago) link

smh.

I don't think I can take watching tonight.

Le Bateau Ivre, Wednesday, 21 February 2018 18:53 (six years ago) link

Here's a stat for ye lads

spurs are 5th in england with plus 28th goal difference, sevilla are 5th in spain with -4 goal difference

Well bissogled trotters (Michael B), Wednesday, 21 February 2018 19:43 (six years ago) link

RIP Herrera, enter Pogba anyway, after 16 minutes

Le Bateau Ivre, Wednesday, 21 February 2018 20:02 (six years ago) link

midfielder loses the ball -> defender picks up and panics -> pass to De Gea - De Gea sends it in the stands

I hate myself for watching this. ManU are the new Chels.

Le Bateau Ivre, Wednesday, 21 February 2018 20:14 (six years ago) link

(the bad Chels, not last night's)

Le Bateau Ivre, Wednesday, 21 February 2018 20:14 (six years ago) link

fucking longball garbage

even if we do somehow fluke our way through here, I dread to think what a top team would do to us

Number None, Wednesday, 21 February 2018 20:15 (six years ago) link

it's woeful. mou burning down the club otm.

Le Bateau Ivre, Wednesday, 21 February 2018 20:17 (six years ago) link

untold millions spent and they can't complete a simple pass

I'd fancy Martin O'Neill's Ireland to give this side a game tbh

Number None, Wednesday, 21 February 2018 20:34 (six years ago) link

I am this close to choosing a different English club to support. It's one of the benefits of not being English, not having that burden of a club being unbreakably connected to you at birth. It'd still be with a heavy heart, but I'm sure the pain will go away quickly once I embrace a side that ACTUALLY PLAYS FOOTBALL.

I just can't take this any more.

Le Bateau Ivre, Wednesday, 21 February 2018 20:40 (six years ago) link

Join usssssssss.

Matt DC, Wednesday, 21 February 2018 20:48 (six years ago) link

:D You're def up there! Would be nice to at least have a slim chance of winning a decent prize during the remainder of my supporting days though...

I thought about City. I like the way they play. We don't have a City fan on board. And sure, it's the easy way now, but you'll thank me for becoming a fan two years down the line when it all falls apart.

If LJ offers a sizeable yet fair amount of money I'll consider Charlton, too.

Le Bateau Ivre, Wednesday, 21 February 2018 20:55 (six years ago) link

Pogba has done nothing since he came on, trots around like a prized pony,,

What lovely hair though
