Idk I guess he was a novelty but he had ridiculous flows and a good amount of off-color creativity. He was another rapper ruined by the 09-12 major labels having no idea what to do with rap albums and trying to make every album into Recovery

lol i paid $50 to see waka play drai's in vegas 2 years ago - after like 3 hours of warmup DJs he came out and did hard in the paint, no hands, two other songs and then just hung out behind his DJ for 45 minutes occasionally shouting in to his mic while the guy played a very adequate mix of EDM and rap music

i didnt buy any bottles but i probably had a vodka on the rocks that ran me $20

was the crowd into it

i think everyone was glad to see waka, myself included

the classic las vegas performance that’s really more of an appearance

i saw waka in new york right before the transition ... he also appeared at a release party for a justly forgotten wyclef jean mixtape that was the best release party i went to my entire time in new york, waka was on a platform to the right repping queens freestyle battling over the "love sosa" instrumental against folks representing brooklyn on a platform on the other side of the room, we were in the middle and i was drunk
