I mean you'll always be the white rapper, but you can make a lot of strides

I was at a concert a couple years back and some of my female friends saw a poster for an upcoming Yelawolf show and were talking about him being hot and I was kind of mortified

i never really got yelawolf either, idk theres probably some post where im softpedaling my dislike bc everyone else seemed so super into it

i think i was also in maximum jacka mode at the time & he was never really a goon fav like yela

the thing i really liked at the time that did not really pan out was more roach gigz

I still ride for those old yela mixtapes and defended them to my friends. Didn't help my case that he eventually became terrible

Idk I guess he was a novelty but he had ridiculous flows and a good amount of off-color creativity. He was another rapper ruined by the 09-12 major labels having no idea what to do with rap albums and trying to make every album into Recovery

I always loved how he examined his whiteness by twisting rap lines, like "I got a pocket full of stones ... when I fell off my dirtbike" which is such a cool/funny way to do it, and yet like right after this we got Mackle
