Checking out his old Milosh albums on Spotify today and it's pleasant work listening. Kind of like old Telefon Tel Aviv-style idm with vocals, not quite as lush as that but better than the TTA records that actually had vocals.

The first one, with more lo-fi home recordings of bottles as percussion etc, is maybe the most distinctive?

not a lot of variety in his vox throughout his discography is my main gripe. he overuses the fade-in mmmmmmmmmmmmms and ooooooooooooos too much.

I also learned that he was a jazz drummer in college and played drums on the new record, so I like that obv.

He also claims that the first Rhye record sold a million copies worldwide, which seems nuts?

1st album got a lot of traction though with the whole 'is it a woman singing?' pr i seem to recall.
that and the fact its a really gorgeous album.

new Spotify Single features a jammy version of "Taste" and a super low key cover of "A Whiter Shade of Pale"

finally got around to the new album and it's super lovely. about as smooth and warm as its possible to get and the way the songs slowly swell with the strings is gorgeous. "horny talk talk" otm lol

New album 'Hope' is out today, on first listen it's everything you expect from a new album from Rhye, which is good not bad imo.
