I agree that it isn't her best track, and also that it doesn't deserve to be #1, but it was still in my unranked 25, would have been at the lower end if they were ranked

never got over the disappointment of the CXCX song not just being a cover of this

Fun list, good job, top 20 a little less my kind of thing, but I discovered lots of great new tracks on the way, more than any other site's year-end list.

Thanks, pollrunners! That CXCX song has some nice bleeps in it but is very underwhelming.

I was also somewhat surprised that Rita Ora almost made it. I didn't have any hopes after the lukewarm reception it got in TSJ.

It was also amusing to scroll through them in between results and note how so many of the bands have a blonde woman lead singer + dudes (with Alvvays as the exception that kinda confirms the trend)

great results this year, i thought. i expected to be totally bored and out of touch with it, but didn't end up feeling that way at all. i did miss a few posters' reactions, though, especially lex's histrionics
