Hey! I just wanna clear this up RIGHT NOW!!! I name-check the Spin freaking Doctors as an example of the WORST STINKING HIPPIE JAM-BAND I CAN THINK OF AT ANY GIVEN MOMENT.

Tell me more about Supercar.

from the Books of Magic FAQ
p.3 panel 3: _Supercar_ was a sci-fi television series made in
Great Britain in the 60's or so. Puppets were used rather than actors
or animation; the puppetry was done by the relatively famous pair of
Sylvia and Gerry Anderson, who went on to do the _Thunderbirds_ television show, also with puppets. Supercar was a car that could fly and travel underwater as well as do about 300 MPH on a straightaway.

or!

Supercar is/was on Sony Japan, released a few tracks for the Japan Not For Sale comps put out. Two of their songs, "Lucky" and "White Surf Style 5" are great droney/J&MC rocking tunes, but like New Order, they've been getting more clubby stuff lately, which is FAR less compelling than the guitar-based tunes.

dig around on P2P, you can find some of their stuff.

Kate - re: Spin Doctors...oh I know, I was just being a "-tard" (whether of the "re-" or "bas-" variety is up to you folks).

Several things, really:

I really should make a mix tape. I wouldn't put anything too heavy on it, but I would put lots and lots of yummy songs that would make me actually forget we need to get here and here and there as quickly as we can so we can fit this and that into our schedule.

Hmmmm. Why is it that Jamie Oliver seems like such a cool bloke but his taste in music is dodgy? I mean, Toploader? The "Oliver's Twist" theme tune? What on Earth is this supposed to be all about? Great. Now I have the few tones that make up the theme from "The Galloping Gourmet" stuck in my head.

I feel like eating something sweet right now. There's an ice cold watermelon in the fridge. I'll get to it as soon as I can pull myself away from this board.

Ack. tones = notes.

I wish we had an edit option here. But not so much that I'd rather this be like the multiple other forums out there that have the "edit" feature but also have complete dimwits or mental cases as their predominant posters.

There. All my thoughts as of now.
