Looks like CONB drew quite a bit of big league press attention with this release:

Produced in 1983, the Cluster of Nuts LP "Fridge in the fast lane" was released at the height of the 'new wave' of English Country dance music. The 'Nuts' were one of the batch of exciting new bands that had finally thrown off the shackles of "Steeleye" and "Fairport" to produce an exciting new sound.

It was Poco's logo so it might still have nothing to do with horseriding. But Richie Furay was born again so I can't see him participating in anything untoward.

Richie was out of the band by the time they adopted the horse logo though (although occasionally rejoining)

the horse logo was designed by Phil Hartman incidentally - his brother was Poco's manager

No doubt. I find Faddis tedious for various reasons I won't elaborate on right this second.

I have seen the son of Mike Zwerin, who was on Birth of The Cool, I think, play bass a few times. Seems like a pretty nice guy. He is unusual in a jazz context in that, not only does he play electric bass, but he plays it slung real low, a la Paul Simonon or Kris(t) Novoselic, say.
