yeah, the album has quite a lot of similarities to my old faves, joy zipper, in places.

just dug through one chunk of the cd-r pile as i thought i may have had the ep sent to me, but so far no such luck.

"Enter One" has apparently become the go-to soundtrack for moments of sweet dramatized sorrow, probably involving death and/or guns. as far as I can tell (mostly from trawling youtube comments lol) these are its most noteworthy appearances:

2007 - CSI: Miami (American TV series)
2008 - Ideal (UK TV series)
2014 - The Rover (Australian film)
2014 - Son of a Gun (Australian film)
2015 - solo performance by Brynn Rumfallo (dance moms girl)
2015 - trailer for I Remember You (American film)
2016 - Standoff (American film)
2017 - Dark (German Netflix series)

it's also been sampled by a few Soundcloud rappers:

2015 - Cyrus - Northside
2015 - A_Wax - Been a Long Time
2016 - Jutes - Free

I'm not sure how to account for its widespread use over the past few years, though it's probably a matter of "person hears song in movie/show, decides to use in their own movie/show", repeat until ubiquitous

oddly enough she updated FB today, maybe prompted by me sending her a message asking if there was more music on the way.

"We all know I get a D- for visibility and marketing prowess on the ether web. But help is at hand. Music is nearly ready. I want you all to go to Sol Seppy channel on youtube, ( Marieke just made this channel for me) There is a beautiful new video there for " Music " Jon Frank and I have teamed up, and his work is stunning. Have a look, I hope you love it. I will post a link to the website soon for pre orders for the album. Sophia"

In case anyone missed it, her album is out.

Got download links but haven't had time to listen yet. CD should be shipped out soon. She's self-releasing this one, I hope it gets attention.

her new album seems to be unobtainable at the moment. she's been having issues with the physical release ("The CD’s have been returned to the manufacterers. The quality was woeful. They are being done elsewhere now") but I'm not sure why she can't sell the digital version on Bandcamp or wherever. nobody's going to buy a Sol Seppy CD in 2018.
