dang didn't even realize they were touring (the shows didn't come anywhere near here). It's so easy to just imagine them disappearing after this album cycle, possibly forever; would hate it if I never got a chance to see them

There is something defiant about the record. Like "oh, indie rock doesn't sound like this anymore? Too bad, we've still got new ideas to express." That insularity really works for them

Somehow never really knew about this band but I'm enjoying Indistinct Conversations a lot, esp. "Footnotes" -> "A/B Futures." Sounds like fire and wrath, though I don't have the old version to compare...
